We have a bustling year ahead of us here at the Hackett Music Studio. Students are creating their own music, recording and performing their own songs, working at their craft, and finding a love for the music of the masters as well as today's popular songs making magic one lesson at a time.  Everyone is progressing and making me proud!!

I have been teaching voice, flute and recently beginning piano for 6 years and love every minute of it. I teach all ages and focus on bringing out the beauty of the individual voice with healthy, natural technique. I offer private lessons as well as group lessons.

My Students have gone on to major in vocal performance at college and have participated and advanced in prestigious competitions. Here they have placed in the Chandler's Children's Choir, Moezart Productions, Mesa Encore Theatre, Copperstar Theatre as well as in summer vocal programs such as the prestigious Eastman School of Music Horizons Program for High Schoolers as well as the Westminster Summer Program for singers. I'm always on the look out for competitions, musical theater programs, and performing opportunities for my students.

 A Little Bit about me:

I received my degree from the Eastman School of Music and have sung with the Eastman Opera Theater, Minnesota Opera, Oberlin in Italy Program, Phoenix Opera and Most recently with the Ohio Light Opera. I made my professional operatic debut as Frasquita in Phoenix Opera's production of Carmen and returned to sing the Queen of the Night in The Magic Flute. I have also performed the roles of La Fata Azzurra in La Bella Dormente nel Bosco, Hanna Glawari in The Merry Widow, Madame Pompadour in Madame Pompadour and as Sister Constance in Dialogues des Carmelites of which was said  by reviewers to have "revealed a luminous voice, and sang with ease and spontaneity." I have won many competitions including the Schubert Club, Singers Cultural Exchange National competition and was a finalist in the Loren L. Zachary Society Competition this past May. I've been a featured soloist with the St. Paul Chamber Orchestra under the direction of Nicholas McGegan, The Phoenix Symphony, and most recently with the Culver City Symphony. I am also an active Member of NATS (National Association of Teachers of Singing).

I am equally comfortable with musical theater and have played leading roles in many productions including Marian in The Music Man, Laurie in Oklahoma, Margy in State Fair, Rapunzel in Into the Woods, and Mrs. Gardiner in the premier production of Pride and Prejudice.
